Responsibilities
- Operate as a cybersecurity specialist in a fast-moving environment, using deep knowledge of attack methods to detect and respond to security events.
- Detect and assess suspicious behavior using SIEM, EDR, MDR, and related technologies, providing triage and incident response support.
- Examine logs, alerts, and system telemetry to uncover potential threats and determine underlying causes of security issues.
- Assist with compliance and data privacy initiatives, including responses to RFIs, RFPs, and audit requests.
- Manage the end-to-end vulnerability lifecycle, including classification, risk ranking, verification, and coordination of fixes with engineering teams.
- Work closely with engineering, DevOps, and platform groups to promote secure architecture and development practices.
- Support the achievement and maintenance of security certifications like SOC2 and apply NIST and CIS frameworks across systems.
- Track evolving cybersecurity laws and standards, and communicate updates to relevant internal parties.
- Evaluate and assist with SAST and DAST results by helping teams understand findings, ruling out false positives, and guiding fixes.
- Help build reporting systems to measure and monitor cybersecurity performance across the software supply chain.
