Responsibilities
- Evaluate security events, system vulnerabilities, and control effectiveness to assess overall security posture
- Assist in incident response operations, Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance, and ongoing monitoring initiatives
- Conduct log reviews and prioritize findings from security scans using SIEM, EDR, and cloud-native detection tools
- Independently investigate security incidents of moderate complexity, typically classified as Level II
- Analyze and correlate log data across multiple systems to detect potential threats and unusual activity
- Create standard operating procedures and response runbooks to enhance consistency and efficiency in operations
- Support tracking and remediation efforts related to Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms)
