Responsibilities
- Evaluate upcoming platform features and service integrations to determine required test coverage.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate feature quality.
- Build automated test scripts and extend or create frameworks to support new testing needs.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure consistent execution.
- Review daily test outcomes, identify failures, and report defects accurately.
- Share reusable test framework and library code with development teams when applicable.
- Collaborate with platform and integration teams to ensure timely resolution of identified defects.
- Establish and maintain test automation processes aligned with system and application requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
- Lead and advise on test automation strategy, requirements, design, development, and execution.
- Assess platform architecture and future capabilities to anticipate automation requirements.
- Design the overall test environment and infrastructure setup.
- Define framework specifications and select optimal foundational components.
- Create an end-to-end test harness supporting functional, integration, and CI/CD testing.
- Prepare the platform for continuous integrated testing practices.
- Identify necessary hardware, software, and licensing resources for the QA team.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of test plans, frameworks, and automation code.
- Ensure high-quality, reliable test automation that integrates smoothly into CI/CD workflows.
- Review team test results daily to detect, prioritize, and log defects early.
- Maintain and expand automated test coverage in line with evolving services and features.
- Facilitate communication between feature teams and integration partners to resolve reported issues.
