Wellington Steele & Associates is hiring a Scrum Master

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Scrum Master within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, supporting one or more Agile development teams
  • Apply Agile software development expertise, particularly in refining product backlogs with clear features and user stories
  • Utilize Agile and SAFe-specific tools including JIRA, CA Agile Rally, VersionOne, Confluence, and IBM ELM
  • Promote collaboration between Agile teams, other program trains, and shared services to align implementation with high-level software architecture
  • Ensure teams comply with established software architecture standards to support end-to-end capability delivery
  • Lead and coordinate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and release planning
  • Monitor and report key Agile metrics like team velocity and progress across sprints and Program Increments
  • Lead Agile teams in delivering mission-critical enterprise software in iterative, production-ready increments
  • Ensure proper execution of the Scrum framework and coach teams toward self-organization through training and guidance
  • Support transparent communication internally and externally to surface and resolve obstacles
  • Act as a servant leader for Agile development teams
  • Help teams form realistic commitments by guiding story selection, task definition, and estimation processes
  • Proactively contribute to the creation and upkeep of Agile standards, tools, and best practices
  • Support risk and release management efforts, including planning and optimizing value flow
