Responsibilities
- Design and implement data models within SAP BW on HANA environments.
- Develop ABAP code for extractor exits, transformation logic, variables, and object-oriented components.
- Manage data sources, transformations, and data transfer processes using RSA1.
- Build and maintain InfoObjects, DataStore Objects, and Composite Providers in HANA Studio.
- Develop calculation views and stored procedures for HANA-based analytics.
- Utilize SQL for querying and developing on the HANA database.
- Configure and maintain process chains to automate data loading workflows.
- Design BEx queries and Excel-based workbooks for analytical reporting.
- Lead data model changes from requirement gathering through implementation and query preparation.
- Manage development tasks with role separation using Jira for tracking.
- Collaborate closely with departments such as Product Management, Finance, Operations, and Fraud.
- Process large datasets, including data reloads and resolution of data quality problems.
- Perform system housekeeping by archiving and removing obsolete data.
- Administer SAP BusinessObjects via CMC, including user access, report scheduling, and error resolution.
- Maintain Analysis for Excel configurations and user access.
- Manage user roles and authorization concepts within BW systems.
- Handle incidents and change requests in ServiceNow for data and system issues.
- Support HANA database administration, including user setup and issue identification in development environments.
- Assist reporting teams in building BEx queries and BW workspaces.
- Provide end-user support for accessing BW data using Analysis for Office.

- Creation and maintenance of BW objects in HANA Studio – InfoObjects, DSOs, Composite Providers
- HANA development – Calculation views, stored procedures
- Using SQL for querying the HANA DB and for HANA development
- Creation and maintenance of process chains for automated data loads
- Creating BEx queries and workbooks in Analysis for Excel
- Handling projects regarding product changes – from business requirements analysis and definition to implementing the data models and preparing queries
- Handling the development process with segregation of duties, using Jira as a ticketing tool
- Close cooperation with other business departments like Product Management, Controlling/Reporting, Accounting, Distribution Operations, Fraud
- Handling large amounts of data – data reloads, detecting and solving data quality issues
- Housekeeping of the BW system and database – deletion and archiving of data
- SAP BO administration in CMC – user administration, error handling, scheduling and administration of scheduled reports
- Administration of Analysis for Excel
- BW user administration and understanding BW authorizations (roles and analysis permissions)
- Incident and change management in Service Now – creation and handling of incidents in case data load or system issues occur
- HANA DB administration – identifying issues, DB user administration in development systems
- Supporting the reporting department in BEx query development and BW workspaces
- BW user support - Supporting business users in accessing and using BW data (using Analysis for Office as a user frontend tool)
