Responsibilities
- Build non-production SAP HANA environments on AWS sandbox, DEV, and QA tiers for active customer engagements.
- Install SAP HANA, apply patches, configure system parameters, and tune each environment for the workloads it's sized for.
- Stand up backup, recovery, and basic high availability for non-production systems, so engineering teams can break and rebuild safely.
- Manage transports, user administration, and role provisioning across the SAP system landscape.
- Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and configuration issues across the SAP and HANA layers until they're resolved, not just logged.
- Document build steps and runbooks so engineering teams self-serve where possible.
- Coordinate with US-based engineering leads during PST hours. Clear status, clean handoffs, no surprises.
Requirements
- 4+ years as an SAP Basis Administrator with hands-on SAP HANA experience.
- A track record of building and operating non-production SAP landscapes yourself provisioning through teardown.
- Working knowledge of AWS-EC2, EBS, VPC, and IAM, sufficient to deploy SAP workloads.
- Strong written and spoken English. You'll be on calls with US engineering leads and customer counterparts. Communication is part of the job, not a soft skill.
- Willing and able to work PST business hours from India.
Nice to Have
- Have installed or migrated SAP HANA on AWS specifically, not only on-prem.
- Have worked on S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, or HANA-based analytics workloads.

- Have scripted Basis tasks in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
