As an SAP ABAP Experienced Hire, you will lead the design and implementation of custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms within the SAP environment. Your work will directly support critical business functions in Sales, Service, and Finance by delivering reliable, scalable technical solutions that align with both user needs and system standards.
What You'll Do
- Manage end-to-end development tasks, from planning and specification to testing and optimization.
- Collaborate with functional teams and business stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical designs.
- Develop ABAP programs using Dialog Programming, User Exits, BADIs, and other core tools to extend SAP functionality.
- Build and maintain reports, forms (Smart Forms, SAP Script), and data interfaces (IDOCs, RFC, BDC, BAPI, LSMW).
- Conduct unit, string, and integration testing; troubleshoot issues and resolve defects efficiently.
- Optimize program performance using SQL Trace, Runtime Analysis, and debugging tools.
- Establish development standards and checklists to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience with SAP ABAP/4 programming and development environments.
- Proven expertise in ABAP Dictionary, ALV, ALE, BDT, and integration techniques (RFC, IDOCs, BAPI, BDC).
- Familiarity with SAP Script, Smart Forms, BADIs, and performance tuning methodologies.
- Strong grasp of SAP business processes in financials, sales, and service modules.
- Proficiency in debugging, ABAP Query, Info Sets, and runtime analysis tools.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in complex system landscapes.
