Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all cleaning operations to ensure facilities, machinery, and tools meet company, USDA, and regulatory sanitation standards.
- Supervise, train, and assign shifts to sanitation staff, ensuring correct cleaning techniques and adherence to safety practices.
- Perform pre-operational and post-operational inspections to confirm sanitation effectiveness and maintain records for food safety audits.
- Track chemical use, cleaning techniques, and equipment function, verifying proper dilution, handling, and upkeep.
- Address sanitation issues quickly during or after cleaning shifts, resolving problems to keep production areas ready.
- Keep detailed sanitation records, including checklists, logs, corrective actions, and audit documentation.
- Enforce compliance with safety regulations, including proper use of PPE, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe chemical handling.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational goals.
