Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and work areas according to USDA, food safety, and company sanitation standards.
- Prepare, mix, and safely apply cleaning chemicals while following all PPE and safety requirements.
- Inspect equipment and areas after sanitation to ensure proper cleanliness and report any issues or hazards promptly.
- Maintain an organized, safe work environment by removing debris, rinsing surfaces, and ensuring proper storage of tools and chemicals.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete sanitation tasks efficiently and support a positive, safety-focused environment.
- Follow detailed sanitation procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and all safety, food safety, and biosecurity guidelines.
- Perform additional sanitation duties as needed to support production readiness and meet operational goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment with temperatures ranging from 10°F to 40°F
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Able to lift 40 lbs
- Ability to multitask and work quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to comprehend instructions and apply common sense
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be a team player
Nice to Have
- Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred.
- Experience: Poultry, food industry, or manufacturing experience is a plus.
