Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of technical strategy and delivery across multiple features and teams, from initial design through deployment and documentation.
- Develop and manage long-term architecture roadmaps in collaboration with System and Enterprise Architects, aligned with enterprise IT standards.
- Identify potential architectural limitations and technical risks early, influencing planning cycles before formal commitments are set.
- Enforce platform stability by rejecting temporary fixes or workarounds that compromise system integrity or long-term scalability.
- Serve as the final authority for resolving cross-team technical conflicts and evaluating trade-offs between development squads.
- Represent the engineering unit in architecture governance meetings and help shape organization-wide technical policies.
- Ensure high-quality implementation of Apex, Lightning Web Components, and native platform code with comprehensive automated unit testing, applying Test-Driven Development practices.
- Establish the strategy for automated business logic and regression testing across the development team.
- Oversee code review processes and promote pair programming; define and audit software quality standards across the engineering unit.
- Design and continuously refine CI/CD pipeline standards, advancing automation in testing, deployment, and release workflows.
- Manage the technical debt portfolio by prioritizing, negotiating resolution efforts, and driving improvements for sustained platform health.
- Act as the highest-level technical escalation point for critical production incidents requiring deep platform expertise.
- Ensure corrective maintenance meets quality benchmarks by reviewing root cause analyses, implemented fixes, and associated documentation.
- Evaluate and prioritize complex change requests from initial analysis through to final delivery.
- Authorize and supervise requests for sensitive data extraction from Salesforce production environments.
- Advance support practices by improving knowledge base content and promoting proactive incident prevention strategies.
- Ensure complete technical delivery of project outputs, including code, tests, and documentation, meeting defined specifications and quality benchmarks.
- Lead planning activities such as roadmap development, effort estimation, and sprint planning, while contributing to broader capacity forecasting.
- Mentor developers and technical leads toward greater technical proficiency and independent decision-making; support career growth for technical staff.
- Maintain ownership of architecture decision records, solution design documentation, and overall technical writing standards across teams.
- Promote consistency and best practices across the enterprise Salesforce development community.
- Facilitate and actively participate in SAFe agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and PI planning sessions.
- Work in close coordination with product teams based in Paris, leveraging overlapping business hours (08:30–18:30 CET) for real-time collaboration.
- Manage tracking of technical debt and risks using JIRA; ensure disciplined logging of incidents and service requests in ServiceNow.
- Identify and advocate for opportunities to integrate automation and AI-enhanced tools in collaboration with leadership and enterprise architects.
