Responsibilities
- Guide the technical strategy and uphold high standards for your team's segment of the Salesforce environment, including data structure, access controls, workflow automation, and external connections.
- Lead or influence architectural choices by clearly explaining the pros and cons of each option.
- Maintain hands-on involvement with code to conduct meaningful reviews, assist with complex technical challenges, and lead resolution during system failures.
- Enforce strong engineering standards across continuous integration and delivery, Salesforce DX usage, testing protocols, peer code reviews, and deployment processes.
- Define objectives, provide regular input, and support professional growth for developers and administrators at various stages.
- Foster a collaborative team culture that encourages personal development and open, two-way feedback.
- Collaborate directly with sales, operations, and customer-facing units to learn their workflows and identify opportunities for Salesforce enhancement.
- Coordinate with other engineering groups to manage integrations and offer guidance on optimal use of Salesforce APIs.
- Serve as a proactive technology advisor by helping teams redesign processes, not just implement initial requests.
- Help shape the Salesforce product roadmap and ensure proposed changes support long-term scalability and business goals.
- Take ownership of platform integrity, including security controls, data accuracy, and governance policies.
- Promote the use of automation technologies, including AI-powered tools, to reduce operational costs while maintaining service quality.
- Represent your team's technical perspective in cross-functional meetings and leadership forums.
