BoostDraft is hiring a Sales Manager to oversee and execute our sales strategy in Japan. You will operate as a player-manager, responsible for both direct sales and leading a team to acquire new customers. You'll join a unique startup that has grown without fundraising, surrounded by talent from top global firms.
What You'll Do
- Manage a sales team of 5-8 people
- Set and manage team and individual KPIs
- Drive performance improvement and sales enablement
- Plan and execute the sales strategy
- Conduct direct sales activities as a player-manager
- Lead new customer acquisition through target selection and company analysis
- Conduct negotiations and manage their progress through to contract closure
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of corporate sales experience
- Proven success in new business development for intangible products/services
- 3+ years of team management experience
- Experience building and executing sales strategies
- Experience with budget vs. actual management, including sales goal setting, execution, and pipeline management
Nice to Have
- Sales enablement experience
- Experience or knowledge in one of the following: Customer Success, Marketing, or Engineering
Team & Environment
You will lead a team of 5-8 people and report directly to the CRO, Hiroshi Watanabe. Our culture is built by a team of excellent talent and operates as an international environment where approximately half of the employees are foreign nationals. Many members, including management, have young children and are active.
Benefits & Compensation
- Full remote work with a virtual office
- Flex time with flexible hours from 6:00 AM - 11:30 AM / 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Core hours from 11:30 AM - 3:00 PM
- Complete two-day weekend system (Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays)
- Year-end and New Year holidays and other company-designated days off
- Annual salary system with fixed overtime pay
