Shayp is hiring a Sales & Impact Trainee

Responsibilities

  • Shadow the Head of Sales on active deals, discovery calls, and pipeline reviews
  • Get up to speed on the product, customers, and market positioning
  • Manage and update HubSpot CRM: contacts, activity logs, deal stages
  • Coordinate with Erab2b on outbound sequences and lead qualification
  • Handle warm outreach: follow-ups from events, inbound leads, re-engagement of stalled contacts
  • Own prospecting on your market (Germany or Netherlands): build targeted lists, run outreach, book meetings
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads, brief BD before calls
  • Contribute to Shayp4Impact: identify relevant public institutions and corporate sponsors in your market
  • Track weekly KPIs: leads contacted, meetings booked, pipeline generated
  • Share market intelligence with the team to sharpen messaging and targeting

Requirements

  • You're smart and curious — you ask good questions and figure things out
  • You're comfortable with digital tools and technology (CRM, automation, AI tools, or keen to learn)
  • You care about sustainability and feel the urgency of environmental challenges
  • You speak English fluently, and German or Dutch at a native or near-native level
  • You're proactive — you don't wait to be told what to do
  • You're okay with ambiguity — startups aren't perfectly organised, and that excites you

Team

Structure: International team, reporting to the Head of Sales

The role

This is a generalist commercial role designed to grow with you. You'll start as a direct support to the Head of Sales: learning how we sell, how we manage a pipeline, and how we operate. Over time, depending on your strengths and ambitions, the role evolves naturally toward one of three directions: Customer Success - Own client relationships, onboarding, and retention. Become the go-to person for our users. Business Development - Lead outreach and pipeline generation on DE or NL markets. Build the commercial foundation. Impact & Projects - Drive Shayp4Impact deployments: coordinate sponsors, public institutions, and field operations.

Phase 1 — Learn & Support (first 3 months)
