Responsibilities
- Ensure customer satisfaction as the foundation of the business.
- Identify each customer's vehicle needs through questioning and active listening.
- Demonstrate vehicles, including conducting test drives.
- Deliver vehicles to customers, explaining operating features, warranty, and paperwork to build loyalty.
- Set personal income goals aligned with dealership productivity standards and develop strategies to achieve them.
- Report objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses to the Sales Manager.
- Stay updated on incoming inventory, features, accessories, and their customer benefits.
- Coordinate with service and body shop departments to ensure timely vehicle reconditioning.
- Attend sales meetings and training sessions provided by the dealership and manufacturer.
- Maintain a system for developing prospects.
- Maintain a follow-up system for owners to encourage repeat and referral business.
- Review and analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly actions to improve time management and planning.
- Understand automotive industry terminology and keep up with product technological changes.
- Know and explain vehicle equity, values, and depreciation to customers.
- Understand federal, state, and local laws governing retail auto sales.
- Introduce customers to service department personnel to highlight service quality and efficiency.
- Follow all company safety policies and report any accidents immediately to a manager or supervisor.
