Join a small, agile engineering team building a multi-modal learning platform designed to empower emerging tech talent across the MENA region, with special focus on Palestine and women. This role is central to shaping the product’s evolution, from core architecture to user-facing features, while supporting a vision of inclusive access to global tech opportunities.
What You'll Do
- Develop and refine features in a Next.js and Node.js environment, balancing speed with code quality
- Design and maintain backend services and infrastructure on AWS, including Lambda, API Gateway, and S3
- Collaborate with training and sales leads to align product capabilities with user needs and business goals
- Write comprehensive tests to ensure reliability across frontend and backend systems
- Support rapid iteration in a dynamic startup environment, adapting to shifting priorities
- Contribute to cross-functional planning and knowledge sharing across remote teams
Requirements
- Proven ability to write clean, well-tested code in JavaScript and Node.js
- Experience working on fullstack applications with strong ownership of both frontend and backend components
- Track record of collaborating in shared codebases using tools like Jira
- Effective communicator in asynchronous, remote-first settings with team members across time zones
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities in early-stage startups
- Strong project management skills with consistent follow-through

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Next.js for frontend development
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
