Responsibilities
- Create and implement perception systems for detecting objects, segmenting scenes, estimating depth, and reconstructing 3D environments
- Develop integrated data pipelines that combine visual, depth, and motion sensor inputs for accurate real-time scene understanding
- Train and scale visual models to ensure consistent performance when transitioning from simulation to physical robots
- Enhance model inference efficiency to meet strict computational limits on embedded systems
- Collaborate with motion planning and manipulation teams to align perception outputs with downstream task needs
- Conduct thorough testing on actual hardware and refine systems based on identified failure cases
- Support public releases of perception-related models and development tools as open-source contributions
