Responsibilities

Collaborate within a multidisciplinary design team to deliver engineering solutions across various transportation sectors.
Lead or contribute to the design of challenging roadway and transportation systems requiring innovative approaches.
Work on projects involving roads, bicycle infrastructure, pedestrian pathways, roundabouts, trails, multimodal transit, and transportation planning initiatives.
Conduct engineering design activities including street and highway layout, alignment development, roundabout configuration, grading, 3D modeling, curb ramp design, signage, pavement markings, traffic control during construction, and stormwater drainage systems.
Apply federal and local roadway design standards to develop preliminary and final design packages, cost projections, and bidding documentation.
Utilize design software such as Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D for project development and modeling.
Support project managers in proposal development and assist in defining project scope, timelines, and financial estimates.

Compensation

Qualified candidates may be eligible for a signing bonus of up to $5,000, based on experience and role alignment. Bonus is contingent upon completing 12 months of service and must be repaid if employment ends within one year.
