About the Role
The intern will work alongside risk professionals to support the identification, analysis, and reporting of operational, financial, and compliance risks within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying, assessing, and monitoring risks across business operations
- Support the development and maintenance of risk frameworks and policies
- Gather and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of risk controls
- Prepare reports and presentations on risk findings for internal stakeholders
- Conduct research on emerging risks and regulatory developments
- Collaborate with team members to document risk processes and workflows
- Participate in risk assessment exercises across departments
- Help maintain risk registers and update risk profiles
- Review operational procedures for potential risk exposures
- Support compliance with internal and external risk-related requirements
- Assist in audits and examinations by providing requested documentation
- Track risk mitigation actions and follow up on outstanding items
- Use data analysis tools to identify trends and anomalies
- Contribute to the improvement of risk reporting mechanisms
- Engage with colleagues to understand business unit risk environments
- Summarize risk incidents and near misses for review
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information
- Follow established protocols for escalation of risk concerns
- Stay current with industry best practices in risk management
- Participate in team meetings and risk-related training sessions
