Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Perform non-management opening and closing procedures.
- Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays.
- Conduct sales and loan transactions according to established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handle all cash and negotiable items in line with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Answer incoming calls following company standards.
- Clearly communicate the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective communication tools.
- Collaborate with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully complete assigned training.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be willing and able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building (within parking lots or property boundaries) or retrieve products from exterior storage.
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
- Should be able to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate point-of-sale systems and common office machines.
Nice to Have
- Cash handling experience is preferred.

Compensation
Payrates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements. Maximum base payrate is derived from the applicant’s previous experience and skill sets applicable to the specific position. Employees earn commission based on productivity; Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance.
