Responsibilities
- Support the Food and Beverage Manager in assigning tasks to service team members
- Greet guests in a warm and welcoming manner
- Manage incoming phone calls efficiently
- Oversee guest flow and direct them appropriately within the dining area
- Deliver high-quality service while building positive guest relationships
- Address and resolve guest concerns or complaints professionally
- Train and oversee staff to meet food and beverage service standards
- Model expected food and beverage practices during all guest and team interactions
- Uphold and enforce the brand's service and hospitality standards consistently
- Lead, coordinate, and guide team members with clear direction and efficiency
- Foster positive interactions with guests and coworkers alike
- Monitor and evaluate service quality, guest feedback, employee satisfaction, equipment functionality, and grooming compliance
- Keep colleague records and logs up to date
- Step into service roles when needed based on restaurant demands
- Ensure all staff meet grooming and appearance guidelines
- Manage daily inventory to support smooth restaurant operations
- Minimize losses by tracking breakage, waste, and spoilage
- Promote a safe and healthy environment for guests and team members
- Complete necessary administrative duties
- Maintain restaurant cleanliness and coordinate maintenance requests
- Inspect product expiry dates and undated items daily
- Manage guest reservations and organize private events or special occasions
- Review opening and closing procedures performed by staff
- Keep an updated daily logbook
- Conduct shift handover briefings with the team
Other
- Follows Occupational Health & Safety regulations
- Reports suspicious people, parcels, and behaviors to Security
- Ensures adherence to Fairmont’s Code of Ethics
