About the Role

The Response Manager oversees end-to-end emergency response operations, from planning and coordination to implementation and reporting, ensuring effective delivery of assistance in crisis-affected regions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and rollout of emergency relief programs
  • Coordinate with local partners and government agencies during disaster response
  • Ensure timely disbursement of funds to affected populations
  • Monitor field operations to maintain program quality and compliance
  • Develop response protocols for various crisis scenarios
  • Manage logistics for rapid deployment of teams and resources
  • Oversee data collection and verification during emergency operations
  • Support the adaptation of programs based on real-time feedback
  • Ensure alignment of response activities with humanitarian standards
  • Supervise response team members and external contractors
  • Produce situation reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Maintain communication channels across response units
  • Train staff on emergency response procedures
  • Ensure financial controls are followed during high-pressure operations
  • Evaluate program impact and recommend improvements
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure team safety
  • Manage relationships with donors and reporting entities
  • Streamline operational workflows during crisis events
  • Support post-response reviews and documentation

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in humanitarian studies or related discipline
  • Experience with government coordination in emergency settings
  • Fluency in additional languages relevant to operational regions
  • Certification in project or emergency management
  • Prior work with cash-based interventions in crises
