Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems, completing repairs correctly on the first visit whenever possible
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable system operation
- Clearly explain findings, repair options, and preventive maintenance recommendations to homeowners
- Present and discuss additional services, upgrades, and maintenance plans when appropriate
- Respond promptly to dispatched service calls and manage daily work orders efficiently
- Maintain organized service vehicle inventory, tools, and parts to support timely repairs
- Accurately document work performed, parts used, and service details in company systems (ServiceTitan experience a plus)
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, managers, and team members to support smooth operations
- Maintain a professional appearance, strong work ethic, and consistent attendance
Requirements
- Prior heating and/or cooling experience in a residential capacity
- Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate with customers
- Demonstrated excellent communication conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member and pitch in as needed
- Computer skills and use of electronic devices for scheduling, invoice creation and communication to staff and customers required
- Must be able to work on a ladder
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
