Databricks is looking for a Resident Solutions Architect to join our Professional Services team. In this role, you will work directly with clients on short to medium-term engagements, tackling their big data challenges and helping them maximize value from their data through engineering, data science, and cloud projects.
What You'll Do
- Work on impactful customer projects including designing reference architectures, creating how-to guides, and productionalizing use cases.
- Scope professional services work with engagement managers and customer input.
- Guide strategic customers through transformational big data projects and third-party migrations, including end-to-end design and deployment.
- Consult on architecture and design to bootstrap projects for successful customer evaluation and adoption.
- Provide an escalated level of support for customer operational issues.
- Collaborate with Databricks technical teams and customer teams to ensure technical deliverables meet needs.
- Work with Engineering and Customer Support to provide product feedback and resolve engagement-specific issues.
What We're Looking For
- 9+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, and analytics.
- Comfort writing code in either Python or Scala.
- Working knowledge of two or more common Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one.
- Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of its runtime internals.
- Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
- Working knowledge of MLOps.
- Capable of designing and deploying highly performant end-to-end data architectures.
- Experience with technical project delivery, managing scope and timelines.
- Strong documentation and white-boarding skills.
- Experience working with clients and managing conflicts.
- Experience building scalable streaming and batch solutions using cloud-native components.
- Ability to travel to customers up to 20% of the time.

- Compensation range: $180,656—$248,360 USD.
