NTU is hiring a Research Fellow to join the Hwei-Ee Tan lab at LKCMedicine. In this postdoctoral role, you will study the fundamental biological basis of the gut-brain axis using mice as a mammalian model and co-create impactful discoveries in microbiome gut-brain neuroscience.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrate commitment to co-create impactful discoveries in the microbiome gut-brain neuroscience field.
- Be exceptionally motivated, have core skills for animal and lab work, and be willing to work in the team.
- Help with essential lab duties.
What We're Looking For
- A doctoral (PhD) degree in neuroscience or relevant disciplines with a strong publication track record.
- Proficiency in mice/rodent handling, optogenetics and behaviours, animal surgery and dissection.
- Experience and specialized expertise in multiphoton/2-photon in vivo calcium imaging and data analysis, or in gnotobiotic studies and microbiome analysis/bioinformatics.
- High motivation and conscientiousness, with the ability to work independently and with a team.
- A willingness to teach, learn, and assist with essential lab duties.
