Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is hiring a Research Associate III to join our research projects focused on pancreatic and colorectal cancers. In this role, you will apply your expertise in epidemiology and biostatistics to contribute to studies on cancer etiology, early detection, and data-driven personalized medicine, analyzing how population-level factors and lifestyle relate to cancer progression.
What You'll Do
- Provide clinical and research support, including ad hoc data analysis, hypothesis development, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Organize clinical and research trials in conjunction with the Principal Investigator and sponsor or funding source.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
- Analyze data and prepare scientific findings for publication as an author or co-author.
- May make independent presentations.
- May provide system administration and maintenance for the local workstation network.
- Lead and train Research Lab Assistants, Research Fellows, lower-level Research Associates, and other support staff.
- Orient new Research Fellows and Research Scientists to day-to-day lab operations and procedures.
- Coordinate all lab and clinical activities, including budgetary and financial compliance and the preparation of grant proposals.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelors degree in a Science Related Field.
- 3 years of Research laboratory experience.
- 2 years of experience in a research specialty.
Nice to Have
- A Master's degree in epidemiology, biostatistics/statistics, bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Experience conducting analyses using statistical software, such as SAS, R, and others.
