Responsibilities
- Contribute to an interdisciplinary project that merges advanced materials and energy harvesting molecules with hybrid 2D materials or plasmonics, and integrated photonic chip technology.
- Select, prepare, and deposit materials onto photonic integrated chips.
- Characterize the electro-optical properties of materials both standalone and when integrated into a photonic integrated chip.
- Participate in the design and simulation of photonic integrated chips, as well as their nanofabrication and functionalization, working alongside the micro-nanofabrication engineering team.
- Integrate materials onto a test photonic integrated chip using patterning or micro-deposition techniques.
- Attend BLOSSOM consortium meetings and conferences, develop project reports, and contribute to publishing project results.
