Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, document, and verify business, functional, and technical needs for IT systems and programs.
- Work closely with business representatives, project leads, end users, and technical staff to collect and refine requirements.
- Take part in project planning, requirements workshops, stakeholder discussions, and progress reviews.
- Produce and update Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), user stories, use cases, and associated materials.
- Ensure requirements are unambiguous, comprehensive, verifiable, and consistent with program goals.
- Lead reviews of requirements and secure stakeholder sign-off on deliverables.
- Develop and manage Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs) to maintain full coverage from initiation to delivery.
- Examine current business operations and workflows to find areas for optimization and modernization.
- Support system design and development by clarifying specifications and resolving requirement-related questions.
- Help identify risks, assumptions, limitations, and interdependencies tied to requirements management.
- Partner with project teams to ensure accurate translation of requirements into system features.
- Adapt to Agile and Waterfall methodologies by managing requirements across all project phases.
- Engage in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and prioritization tasks as needed.
- Assist in creating process flows, workflow diagrams, and business models to inform solution design.
- Support testing efforts by evaluating test cases, confirming requirement coverage, and aiding in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Review and document change requests and evaluate their effects on current requirements and system behavior.
- Keep project records, meeting summaries, action items, and requirements repositories up to date.
- Ensure requirements practices follow organizational policies and meet customer expectations.
- Support deployment, transition, and post-launch activities to promote successful adoption of solutions.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement efforts that boost program performance and stakeholder satisfaction.
