About the Role
This role involves delivering outpatient psychiatric care to individuals across New York via telehealth. The therapist will conduct evaluations, lead therapy sessions, and collaborate with psychiatrists and care teams to support patient well-being.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for new patients
- Deliver individual therapy using evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with psychiatrists on treatment planning
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
- Coordinate care with external providers when necessary
- Respond to patient messages within established timeframes
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Support patients during transitions of care
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives
- Follow clinical protocols and organizational guidelines
- Contribute to a patient-centered care environment
- Assist in onboarding and mentoring new clinical staff
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards
- Participate in continuing education and training
- Address patient crises with appropriate interventions
- Help develop clinical resources and patient materials
- Support integration of behavioral health and primary care
- Promote patient engagement and treatment adherence
- Use telehealth platforms effectively and securely
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Contribute to a culture of clinical excellence
- Respond to clinical escalations as needed
