About the Role

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations using virtual communication tools
- Diagnose and manage mental health disorders across diverse patient populations
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating medication and therapy recommendations
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications with attention to efficacy and side effects
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
- Coordinate care with primary care providers and behavioral health specialists
- Respond to patient messages and urgent clinical needs within defined timeframes
- Adhere to state and federal regulations governing telepsychiatry practice
- Engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in team meetings and clinical consultations
- Support patient education about mental health conditions and treatment options
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient privacy standards
- Conduct follow-up appointments to assess treatment response
- Utilize clinical decision-making within an interdisciplinary framework
- Uphold ethical standards in virtual patient interactions
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols
- Respond to medication refill requests with clinical oversight
- Assess for psychiatric emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions
- Promote patient engagement and treatment adherence
Nice to Have
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
- Experience in a high-volume clinical setting
- Background in integrated care models
- Additional state licenses for telehealth practice
- Training in trauma-informed care
- Experience with pediatric or geriatric psychiatry
- Leadership experience in clinical teams
- Prior work in mental health startups or tech-enabled care
- Familiarity with outcome measurement tools
