About the Role
This role involves delivering psychiatric evaluation and medication management services to patients through virtual platforms. The practitioner will collaborate with care teams to develop individualized treatment plans and support long-term mental wellness.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments via telehealth
- Diagnose and treat mental health conditions in accordance with clinical guidelines
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Document clinical encounters in the electronic health record
- Coordinate care with therapists and primary care providers
- Respond to patient messages within established timeframes
- Adhere to state and federal regulations for telepsychiatry
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions
- Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives
- Support patient access to community resources
Nice to Have
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
- Experience with integrated care models
- Familiarity with psychiatric rating scales
- Training in trauma-informed care
