About the Role
This role is responsible for handling life and benefits-related questions, guiding employees through enrollment, maintaining data accuracy, and coordinating with carriers and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Respond to employee inquiries about life insurance and benefits options
- Assist with onboarding new hires into benefits systems
- Verify enrollment data for completeness and correctness
- Coordinate with insurance carriers to confirm coverage details
- Update employee records in benefits administration platforms
- Troubleshoot discrepancies in benefits eligibility or coverage
- Support open enrollment periods with timely communications
- Process life benefits changes due to personal circumstances
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
- Generate reports on benefits participation and trends
- Collaborate with HR teams to align on policy updates
- Escalate complex cases to senior benefits advisors
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Track deadlines for submissions and renewals
- Provide clear explanations of plan terms to employees
- Audit benefits data for accuracy and consistency
- Assist in resolving billing or claims issues
- Maintain knowledge of carrier-specific procedures
- Follow documented workflows for all benefit transactions
- Respond to time-sensitive requests within service level agreements
- Document interactions and actions taken in case management tools
- Participate in training for new benefits platforms
- Support special projects related to benefits optimization
- Communicate policy changes to internal stakeholders

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For
- At least two years in a benefits or HR operations role
- Hands-on experience with benefits platforms like ADP, Workday, or similar
- Understanding of life insurance underwriting and claims
- Ability to interpret plan documents and legal summaries
- Strong organizational skills with high accuracy standards
- Experience in remote or hybrid work environments
- Comfort using digital communication tools daily
- Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace
- Willingness to adhere to security protocols
