About the Role
This position supports employees in understanding and enrolling in benefits programs, ensuring accurate information delivery and compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining a high level of service and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about health, dental, and retirement plans to employees
- Assist with benefits enrollment during onboarding and open registration periods
- Respond to employee questions via phone, email, and chat within service level agreements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of plan documents, regulations, and policy changes
- Troubleshoot issues related to claims, coverage, and provider networks
- Document interactions and update employee records in benefits management systems
- Collaborate with HR teams to ensure timely and compliant benefits administration
- Escalate complex cases to senior specialists or supervisors as needed
- Support annual benefits audits and compliance reporting requirements
- Educate employees on using digital benefits platforms and self-service tools
- Verify eligibility and coordinate life changes with payroll and HR systems
- Follow data privacy protocols when handling sensitive personal information
- Participate in training sessions to stay current on product updates and regulations
- Prepare materials for employee information sessions and benefits fairs
- Monitor case resolution times and contribute to service quality improvement
Nice to Have
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) credential
- Experience supporting multi-state or national employee populations
- Background in insurance, payroll, or HRIS systems
- Familiarity with wellness programs and voluntary benefits
- Prior remote work experience in a structured environment
