RoomPriceGenie is hiring a Remote Engineering Manager with a Python Data Engineering Background (m/f/d)

At RoomPriceGenie, we’re looking for an Engineering Manager with a strong background in Python Data Engineering. You will lead a team developing innovative reporting and analytics solutions for our customers, combining technical leadership with hands-on contribution.

What You'll Do

• Manage a team of data, backend, and frontend engineers to create innovative solutions for customer reporting & analytics.
• Cultivate a strong engineering organization and vibrant development culture.
• Partner closely with a Product Manager and UI/UX Designer from conception to post-deployment.
• Work closely with the CTO and other Engineering Managers to shape how we work.
• Spend up to 50% of your time coding and shaping technical direction.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of professional development experience with Python Data Engineering.
• 1-2+ years managing an engineering team, including 1on1s, performance reviews, overseeing projects, and technical coaching & mentoring.
• Strong understanding of architectural and software design principles that drive quality and maintainability.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High ownership mentality.
• A true team player—egoless and empathetic.
• Fluent in English.
• Based in the European Time Zone (UTC+0 / UTC+2).

Nice to Have

• Located in Mannheim, Germany.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with DataDog.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
