Responsibilities
- Assesses patient health needs using clinical skills, prioritizes care, and manages patient flow efficiently.
- Performs comprehensive nursing evaluations including patient history, physical exams, and vital sign monitoring.
- Delivers medical care within the scope permitted by state regulations.
- Partners with physicians or licensed practitioners to coordinate advanced treatment plans.
- Identifies malfunctioning medical equipment and reports it to supervising staff.
- Conducts required occupational health screenings such as EKGs, hearing tests, lung function tests, and vision assessments.
- Executes laboratory procedures and adheres to quality assurance protocols.
- Accurately records all aspects of patient care including assessments, treatments, medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up arrangements.
- Determines patient education needs and delivers appropriate health promotion training.
- Recognizes urgent medical conditions and delivers timely, legally compliant interventions.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments under the direction of a licensed provider.
- Manages patient records, including through electronic systems where applicable.
- Ensures a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
- Adheres to strict infection prevention and control standards.
- Protects patient confidentiality and upholds privacy regulations.
- Engages in post-visit follow-up through phone calls and scheduled patient check-ins.
- Completes additional tasks as required by the clinical team.
