UPMC Pinnacle Community Osteo is hiring a Full-Time Professional Staff Nurse to support the Emergency Department at UPMC Greene. What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships internally and externally, demonstrating accountability and enthusiasm.
- Demonstrate knowledge of adult learning principles and provide detailed teaching to patients, families, students, and new staff.
- Apply the nursing process within the framework of Relationship Based Care to create a healing environment and formulate daily goals and a plan of care.

- Actively participate in department or unit-specific quality improvement efforts and utilize research and evidence-based practice to support clinical care improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in Pennsylvania or a state covered by a licensure compact agreement.
- CPR certification based on AHA standards within 30 days of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
- Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearances, all with renewal.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the ages of patients served.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, staff, patients, and families.
- Ability to work productively within a complex environment, handle multiple priorities, and operate specialized equipment.
- Good clinical judgment with critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Mobility, visual manual dexterity, and physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients.
- Zero to two years of experience.
- Graduate Nurses must complete licensure examination within six months of hire or within one year of graduation, whichever comes first.
- ACLS/PALS required within 12 months of hire/transfer.
- Crisis management education required within 1 year of hire/transfer.
Nice to Have
- BSN degree.
- UPMC approved national certification.
