About the Role
This position leads supply chain strategy and execution for the eastern region, managing logistics, vendor relationships, and process improvements to support healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead regional supply chain operations to ensure consistent and reliable delivery of medical and operational supplies
- Develop and manage procurement strategies to optimize cost and service levels
- Oversee inventory control systems to maintain appropriate stock levels across facilities
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to align supply chain activities with patient care needs
- Monitor supplier performance and negotiate contracts to ensure quality and value
- Implement best practices in logistics and distribution to improve efficiency
- Drive standardization of supply chain processes across multiple locations
- Evaluate new technologies and systems to enhance supply chain visibility and performance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards in all supply operations
- Manage regional supply chain budget and financial reporting
- Lead cross-functional teams during system implementations or process changes
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising care quality
- Support emergency preparedness and continuity planning for supply availability
- Maintain accurate data reporting and performance metrics for leadership review
- Promote sustainability initiatives within procurement and distribution practices
- Coordinate with central supply chain leadership to align regional efforts with organizational goals
- Resolve supply disruptions quickly to minimize impact on operations
- Train and mentor supply chain staff across the region
- Ensure adherence to ethical sourcing and vendor selection policies
- Evaluate vendor proposals and manage onboarding of new suppliers
- Support facility expansions or relocations with supply chain planning
- Monitor market trends affecting medical supply availability and pricing
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in logistics and procurement
- Ensure all supply chain activities support high-quality patient care delivery
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare supply chain regulations and standards
