Responsibilities
- Create job postings and coordinate with hiring managers on requirements and timelines
- Review applications and proactively find candidates on LinkedIn and other platforms
- Organize and participate in interviews, keeping candidates and managers updated throughout
- Help develop the referral program, which is a key source of quality hires
- Handle onboarding and offboarding for a remote team
- Keep employee records and HR documents up to date
- Assist in implementing policies and internal communications
- Support the performance review process
- Address daily employee inquiries
- Contribute to HR reporting on recruitment and people process performance
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in HR, recruitment, or a closely related field—agency or in-house both acceptable
- Organized and self-motivated, able to complete tasks without reminders
- Comfortable using spreadsheets and basic reporting tools
- Clear and confident written communication skills, essential for a distributed team across multiple countries
- Fluent in Arabic and strong in written and spoken English
- Available for full-time work, based in Syria, from 9am to 6pm Syria time (one-hour break), Monday to Friday, with weekends off
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup
- Above all, a genuine sense of ownership—you will be given real responsibility early on
Nice to Have
- French language skills are a real advantage, as part of the operation is based in France
- Previous remote work experience is an advantage
