About company
Literacy Tree

Literacy Tree is a proven online literacy program designed to help children who struggle with reading. Founded by Stephanie and Adam Newman, the company was born out of personal experience when their son was diagnosed with dyslexia. Stephanie, a former middle school ELA teacher with a Master's in Secondary Education, trained in the Orton Gillingham method—a science-based approach to teaching reading—to help her son and other struggling readers in their community.

Combining Stephanie’s teaching expertise with Adam’s background in technology and social entrepreneurship, they created Literacy Tree to bring effective, structured literacy instruction online. Their mission is to reach students across the country who are falling through the cracks in traditional education systems, ensuring they gain the skills to read confidently and succeed academically.

The program is delivered by certified Reading Specialists and Interventionists with 15–30+ years of experience. These passionate educators provide live, small-group online sessions using a proven, research-based curriculum. With over 90% success, Literacy Tree helps students go from "learning to read" to "reading to learn" in as little as 12 weeks.
