Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading railcars in a safe and efficient manner
- Ensuring materials are loaded, unloaded, and stockpiled to meet quality control requirements
- Shoveling, sweeping, picking up trash, painting, and performing general cleanup of plant areas and locomotive operations
- Performing daily preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment under guidance of designated personnel
- Operating equipment and performing other tasks within rail operations
- Performing daily pre- and post-shift inspections on equipment and maintaining a maintenance log
- Performing maintenance or repairs on all plant and mobile equipment, including some welding
- Participating in plant operations including production, quality control, loading, and shipping
- Maintaining good housekeeping in areas of responsibility
- Aiding in training of co-workers as needed
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor

- Hours are 7:00 am - 4:00 pm including weekends and overtime as necessary
- Cross trained to operate various types of heavy equipment
