About the Role

The selected candidate will contribute to research projects by designing studies, analyzing data, and interpreting findings related to education, workforce development, and community initiatives. Strong statistical and programming skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute quantitative research studies in social science domains
  • Apply advanced statistical techniques to evaluate program effectiveness
  • Develop and manage large-scale datasets from diverse sources
  • Use programming languages such as R, Python, or SAS for data analysis
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on project design and implementation
  • Produce technical reports and summaries for stakeholders
  • Support grant proposals with data-driven insights and methodological frameworks
  • Ensure data quality and integrity throughout research cycles
  • Conduct multivariate regression and longitudinal data analysis
  • Utilize survey methodology and sampling techniques
  • Interpret findings for non-technical audiences
  • Maintain documentation for analytical processes and code
  • Stay current with advancements in statistical modeling and research design
  • Assist in validating measurement tools and instruments
  • Contribute to peer-reviewed publications and presentations
  • Work with administrative data systems and public datasets
  • Apply machine learning methods where appropriate
  • Support evaluation of education and workforce development programs
  • Address issues of equity and inclusion in research design
  • Manage timelines for research deliverables

Nice to Have

  • Ph.D. in a quantitative social science or related discipline
  • Post-graduate research experience in education or workforce policy
  • Expertise in hierarchical linear modeling
  • Experience with federal grant-funded research
  • Familiarity with state or federal administrative data
