Requirements
- Educational background in food science, chemistry, biology, microbiology, sensory analysis, food packaging, or food engineering.
- Three to seven years of hands-on experience in food safety, quality management, production, or project management within the food industry.
- Proven ability to lead and promote ongoing process improvements.
- Skill in influencing change without direct authority.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including coaching, communication, and conflict resolution.
- Capacity to travel occasionally, though infrequently.
- Numerical aptitude including calculations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed but straightforward written or verbal instructions; capable of resolving issues involving a limited number of variables in routine scenarios.
- Skilled at delivering information clearly in individual and small group settings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Physical capability to operate a computer keyboard and telephone; clear and intelligible speech; ability to read and process information; adaptability in interacting with diverse personalities and shifting priorities.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with food quality systems such as SQF, HACCP, GMPs, and other prerequisite programs.
- Preference given to candidates certified as SQF Practitioners.
- HACCP certification is desirable.
- Experience in drafting and executing policies and procedures.

Work Arrangement
On-site
Team
Supervises a team of 3 to 6 QA Technicians and 1 to 3 sanitation staff. Team structure includes direct oversight of QA and sanitation personnel.
