Responsibilities
- Perform and coordinate quality inspections for incoming, internal, and final products, and maintain detailed records of all inspections.
- Assist with final inspections for customers and dealers, and ensure the inspection area is prepared for customer visits.
- Prepare work schedules, prioritize jobs, and assign work to appropriate personnel.
- Ensure quality processes and procedures are followed by the team.
- Plan and establish work schedules and assignments.
- Provide clear instructions and direction to employees, acting as a buffer.
- Administer discipline and corrective action as necessary.
- Assist with root cause analysis and problem resolution.
- Calculate labor requirements to ensure adequate resources for timely quality inspections.
- Help determine standards for workmanship and productivity.
- Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
- Read and analyze production schedules to determine production requirements and plan resource use appropriately.
- Ensure deficiencies are reported to the chassis provider (OEM or dealer) and coordinate corrective actions.
- Follow up to ensure all deficiency items are completed correctly.
- Coordinate and assist with pre-pump and UL inspections.
- Ensure all chassis information is documented correctly and entered into the database.
- Ensure the showroom and customer lounge are neat and clean prior to customer inspections.
- Assist with completing any additional items required to prepare the truck for shipment.
- Assist with completing and gathering all paperwork and documentation, ensuring it is loaded on the truck.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Identify and promote opportunities for cross-training within and between departments.
