Responsibilities
- Select and prepare sample units for shipping as required.
- Conduct visual examinations of randomly chosen products during or after production runs to detect defects including ragged edges, page damage, improper cuts, binding errors, color imperfections, contamination, or other non-conformities.
- Adhere to a defined inspection checklist and document all observed flaws.
- Apply approved quality standard operating procedures to verify products meet customer-specified requirements.
- Generate written reports and inform production supervisors of any discovered defects.
- Recognize early signs of quality concerns and escalate to team lead or management for resolution.
- Support special assignments or intricate customer jobs as needed.
- Assist in evaluating and deciding the handling of non-conforming or faulty materials.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
