Rolls-Royce is looking for a Quality Engineer to provide critical production support for our engine assembly lines and test stands. In this role, you will be instrumental in resolving internal quality issues and enhancing our manufacturing processes for engine series 2000, 4000, 8000, and classic engines.
What You'll Do
- Work directly on production support for assembly lines and test stands to resolve internal quality problems.
- Act as quality manager during fault finding, root cause analysis, and optimization processes to sustainably eliminate production failures.
- Lead and organize complex quality problems, including the leadership of work and task force groups.
- Supervise and instruct employees assigned to quality notifications and line call tasks, providing support in problem cases.
- Prepare quality reports for customers and present findings from problem resolution.
- Support assembly teams in quality matters during new product introductions, production facility start-ups, and relocations.
What We're Looking For
- A completed degree in mechanical engineering or comparable training.
- Several years of professional experience in development, on engine test benches in service, or comparable experience.
- Mandatory knowledge of modern diesel engines and their components.
- Confident handling of MS Office and SAP.
- Good spoken and written German and English language skills.
- An independent, systematic, agile, and quality-oriented way of working.
- Strong communication skills and pronounced teamwork ability.
- Confident appearance with negotiation skills and assertiveness.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of modern quality methods and problem-solving techniques such as 8D, 5W, Ishikawa, A3, or problem analysis.
