Electronic Arts is looking for a Quality Designer to join our team. In this role, you will provide oversight of quality processes and establish best practices for the analyst family. You will oversee the entire quality plan for one of our modules located in Hyderabad, collaborating with partners and working with Producers and Designers to define quality standards and feedback for new features.
What You'll Do
- Leverage testing skills and methodologies to systematically test the product and share results.
- Help evolve the team’s tools and processes with a focus on expanding capabilities and responsibilities, along with introducing more efficient and accurate practices.
- Ensure that strategies, plans and other best practices laid out are followed by the team.
- Promote a 'player-oriented' approach and help achieve a high-quality experience for the players.
- Report high impact or complex bugs and provide actionable feedback to improve the quality of the game.
- Evaluate and adopt the latest and best practices from other teams, departments or the industry.
- Build partnerships and collaborate with QV partners, development, production, and design teams.
- Provide progress and status updates through reporting and verbal communication, where needed.
- Work with multiple teams to drive features through project milestones.
- Mentor and support team members with QA deliverables and implementation of quality strategies.
- Drive improvements and knowledge sharing across teams.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in software development, quality assurance, or game design.
- Understanding of quality assurance processes, workflows, and defect and task tracking software.
- Familiarity with bug prevention and containment strategies.
- Game Domain knowledge, with inclination towards playing video games for driving end-to-end quality plan throughout the game/pack cycle.
- Ability to create test plans, design test strategies and communicate them effectively.
- Passion for creating high-quality player experiences.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
