Requirements
- Diploma in Environmental Management, Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related discipline
- Minimum one (1) year recent related experience in a healthcare environment
- Valid BC Driver’s License
- Knowledge of quality improvement principles and practices and methodologies, measurement techniques, and tools
- Knowledge of health facility support service operations including but not limited to housekeeping, infection prevention and control, basic microbiology, evidence-based cleaning and disinfection practices, handling multiple waste streams, floor care
- Ability to maintain consistency in performance
- Facilitation and training skills
- Knowledge of adult education principles and practices
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Excellent follow-through skills
- Ability to resolve issues and disputes
- Experience in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Process drive and ability to move forward with improvements
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to provide guidelines and execution of cleaning standards
- Strong written, presentations and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Windows application, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external partners to promote and enhance services provided with sensitivity to diversity and indigenous lens
- Practice the recognition, inclusion and support of all types and aspects of diversity at all stages of engagement, with an understanding of the issues faced by people from equity-deserving groups
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position

On-site — Vancouver Coastal Health geographic area
Additional Information
- Local area travel within the VCH geographic area, may require the use of a vehicle
- As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections
- Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines, and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks
