Responsibilities
- Inspect raw and finished goods to verify compliance with defined product standards.
- Perform routine quality checks and record any deviations with precision to prevent recurrence.
- Support plant staff in resolving food safety and sanitation concerns as they occur.
- Validate documentation to ensure alignment with food safety and quality requirements.
- Evaluate sanitation procedures, including pre-operational cleaning protocols, as necessary.
- Complete required pre-production tasks to maintain compliance with food safety regulations.
- Operate and maintain analytical tools and equipment, including performing daily calibration and recording results.
- Examine product chemistry data, including levels of salt, moisture, fat, and protein, to identify patterns and report findings to supervision.
- Maintain accurate, daily records with strong attention to detail to support full traceability and quick retrieval during audits.
- Perform environmental swabbing, validation testing, and assist other technicians when required.
- Assist in preparing for and supporting SQF certification audits.
- Enforce adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices across all facility personnel.

- Frequent lifting, pushing, or pulling of items weighing between 10 and 50 pounds.
- Repetitive hand movements and grasping actions requiring neutral wrist positioning.
- Regular reaching for items on conveyors, boxes, or bags using tools such as hooks.
- Consistent standing for 8 to 10 hours per day, six days per week; seven days when scheduled, particularly on the loading dock.
- Scheduled break times are limited to two per day, based on union agreements and operational needs.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, including hot, cold, and wet working conditions.
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, or similar structures is required.
- Demonstration of reliable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Standard workweek is Monday through Friday, with weekend shifts assigned as needed.
- Saturday work is routinely scheduled during the fall season.
