About the Role
This role involves leading the design and implementation of automated performance testing strategies to support scalable, high-quality software delivery. The individual will collaborate with engineering teams to identify performance bottlenecks and ensure system reliability under load.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute automated performance tests for web and API-based systems
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Identify scalability limitations and work with engineers to resolve them
- Develop performance test plans aligned with business and technical requirements
- Monitor system behavior under stress and peak usage conditions
- Analyze test results and provide actionable recommendations
- Maintain performance testing frameworks and tools
- Mentor team members on best practices in performance engineering
- Track and report performance metrics across environments
- Ensure compliance with service level objectives for response times and throughput
- Troubleshoot performance issues in staging and production environments
- Work closely with product and operations teams to understand workload patterns
- Optimize test scripts for efficiency and maintainability
- Evaluate new performance testing tools and methodologies
- Support root cause analysis for production performance incidents
- Document test scenarios, configurations, and results
- Promote performance awareness across the engineering organization
- Contribute to architectural discussions related to scalability
- Validate infrastructure changes for performance impact
- Ensure consistent performance across application updates
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a technical field
- Experience in financial technology or enterprise SaaS platforms
- Certifications in performance testing or cloud architecture
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Knowledge of security performance implications
- Prior experience in a leadership or technical lead role
