Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and scale end-to-end automated tests using Cypress for the web application
- Analyze and troubleshoot test failures, manually reproducing issues when necessary to identify root causes
- Perform manual regression testing during release cycles to ensure stability
- Assist in building and maintaining automated test suites for REST APIs using Mocha and Chai
- Collaborate with engineering teams to systematically increase test coverage over time
- Help refine and enhance CI/CD integration, particularly within TeamCity pipelines
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of professional experience in roles such as QA Automation Engineer, SDET, or QA Engineer
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript with an emphasis on writing clear, maintainable test scripts
- Hands-on experience with Cypress; prior exposure to Cucumber or BDD methodologies is beneficial
- Familiarity with REST API testing concepts and tools like Mocha, Chai, or equivalent frameworks
- Proficient in GitHub workflows including branching, pull requests, and code reviews
- Focus on understanding the underlying reasons for test failures rather than just resolving them superficially
- Ability to work autonomously and communicate obstacles effectively
Nice to Have
- Experience with TeamCity or comparable CI/CD systems
- Background in testing REST or WebSocket APIs in financial or cryptocurrency platforms
- Knowledge of trading mechanisms such as margin, funding, order types, and regional compliance
- Experience with mobile test automation frameworks
