Responsibilities
- Conduct in-process and final inspections according to drawings, route cards, and applicable specifications or OMS requirements.
- Perform and document calibration and verification activities for gauges, measuring instruments, and test equipment following established control procedures.
- Ensure product license applications and processes comply with licensor requirements.
- Perform quality assurance checks on tools and equipment before dispatch to customer locations.
- Carry out any other reasonable delegated tasks for which the employee is capable and competent.
- Have the authority to halt any unsafe operations or activities in the workshop or on site.
- Verify work orders, inspection reports, and certificates of conformance to release products.
- Inspect all process documents before final material release and delivery.
- Conduct receiving inspections of raw materials, repaired goods, externally processed materials, and purchased items.
- Report nonconformities to the QA/QC Supervisor or Manager.
- Ensure product identification and traceability are maintained at every operational stage, and inspection status is recorded at all times.
Requirements
- Educated to higher secondary level or equivalent, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the QA/QC field.
- Experience with inspection, measuring, and testing equipment and tools (IMTE) for oilfield equipment, steel stock, manufacturing, and machine shop operations.
- Experience in calibrating IMTE according to API and international standards.
- Understanding and knowledge of product and engineering drawings.
- Understanding of measuring and monitoring tools and equipment, as well as calibration techniques.
- Familiarity with inspecting all products and services per quality control plans and specifications, including API 7-1, API 7-2, 5CT, and relevant standards.
Nice to Have
- Preferably knowledge of oil and gas experience with machine shop inspection and downhole tools.
